We are Carolyn and Frederick Wellington, owners of Wellington’s Herbs and Spices.
Our company was started in 1999 when we retired from professional careers in the fields of Health Insurance Marketing and Higher Education and moved to the beautiful Catskill Mountain Region of New York State.
If you are visiting New York State, we are located a short distance from the Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, Saratoga Racetrack, Schoharie County’s Iroquois Museum, Hunter Mountain Ski facilities, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the State University of New York at Albany, Sienna College, the highly acclaimed New York State Museum and the New York State Capital which is fast becoming the world’s center of the growing field of nanotechnology.
Our 45-acre farm with certified-organic fields sits on top of a gently sloping hillside which commands a breath-taking view of the Schoharie Valley, aptly labeled “breadbasket” of the American Revolutionary war for its contribution to the sustenance of the soldiers.
We invite you to visit us, to enjoy the aroma of our beautiful, landscaped herb and flower gardens. You are welcime to wander the pristine grounds, to tour our Certified Organic fields, to meditate on the banks of our tranquil ponds. Browse our fully stocked store for garden supplies, collectibles, imported teas, and tea accessories, herb and spice products, dried flowers and antiques. When you have had enough activity, Please visit to our elegant tea room where light lunches are served daily.
Several of the herbs and spices we sell, are grown in our Certified Organic fields. We exercise an unwavering vigilance in the selection of the herbs and spices we do not grow ourselves.
We also conduct vigorous searches for the finest quality teas and aromatherapy products.
Many of you have already purchased and consumed our farm-grown certified-organic products and have rated the quality “exceptional.”
Our regular customers recommend for dessert Carolyn’s gooey butter cake and Wellington’s Island Tea all prepared on site each day.
Before we decided to offer our merchandise online, we wanted to assure ourselves that the herbs and spices we sell are of a quality comparable to our farm-grown produce. We think we have reached that milestone, so welcome to Wellington’s online shopping (coming soon).
